Meeting at Istanbul Airport International Departures Terminal at 07:00 in the morning. After ticket, baggage, and passport procedures, we depart for Rovaniemi on Turkish Airlines flight TK 1749. Upon arrival at 13:30 local time after a direct 4-hour 40-minute flight, we transfer by private bus to Arctic Tree House Hotel, where we will spend our first night in Lapland. We check into our rooms with large panoramic windows. Dinner will be at Rakas Restaurant.
Icebreaker Cruise through the Frozen Waters
After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we drive about 1.5 hours to the port city of Kemi. Our first stop is the SnowExperience, open year-round and filled with ice sculptures. After our visit, we enjoy lunch, and then begin one of the most unforgettable winter journeys: a cruise on the Arktis Icebreaker Ship through the frozen waters of the Northern Bothnia Gulf. Those who wish may swim in the icy sea wearing special suits provided onboard. At the end of the tour, the ship captain will present certificates to all participants.
After the cruise, we return to our hotel in Rovaniemi. After a short rest, dinner is served at the hotel’s Arctic Restaurant.
Husky and Reindeer Safari, Snowmobile Adventure
Following breakfast at the hotel, we gear up with special clothing and ride snowmobiles to a reindeer farm. We will be welcomed by the Sami people, Lapland’s indigenous population, and learn about their culture and reindeer herding traditions. After a short sleigh ride led by reindeer, we continue by snowmobiles to a Husky farm, where we experience an exciting husky safari.
Lunch will be served at the Husky farm. After the tour, we return to the hotel. Dinner is at Snowland Igloo Restaurant.
After breakfast, we visit the magical Santa Claus Village, located right on the Arctic Circle. Here, you can take a photo with Santa Claus, send postcards to your loved ones to arrive during Christmas, or shop for souvenirs during your free time.
Lunch will be at Santa’s Cuisine. After this delightful time, we transfer to Rovaniemi Airport for our return flight. Following customs, ticket, and passport procedures, we depart for Istanbul with Turkish Airlines flight TK 1750 at 15:25 and arrive at 21:10 local time.
